Our Story
Brewin’ Ideas began during a study abroad experience that completely changed how we saw the world.
While studying abroad, we were constantly surrounded by new places, new people, and new experiences. Every day felt different, and every conversation had a way of opening our perspective just a little bit more. Traveling through unfamiliar environments pushed us out of our routine and made us more present, more observant, and more curious about the world around us.
Driven by that same aimless curiosity to learn, we started noticing how many people around us, including friends from college and people we met along the way, were full of genuinely cool ideas. Some of these ideas got started, but most remained small, undeveloped, or overlooked. It all began as a simple conversation about those ideas and why so many of them never move forward. Then it clicked.
Small Ideas, Big Picture.
We looked into it, and somehow, the phrase didn’t exist anywhere. That made it feel like more than just a saying. It felt like a starting point.
From there, we started thinking about what we genuinely enjoy, knowing this was something we wanted to build as a passion project.
We landed on beer and coffee.
Both have a way of bringing people together. Whether it’s sitting in a coffee shop or spending time at a brewery, those spaces are where ideas get shared, conversations happen, and things start to take shape.
The more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Brewing wasn’t something we had experience in, but it represented the process perfectly. The idea of taking something small, putting time and care into it, and developing it into something meaningful.
That’s when everything clicked.
The name Brewin’ Ideas reflects both the literal process of brewing, whether beer or coffee, and the metaphorical process of taking raw, unrefined ideas and developing them into something real.
What We’re Building
Brewin’ Ideas exists to capture the stories that often go unnoticed.
Not just the finished product, but everything that comes before it. The uncertainty, the risks, and the moments that define the journey. We focus on the people who took a simple idea and chose to pursue it, building something real without a clear roadmap.
Our goal is to create content that feels authentic and immersive. By combining cinematic video with written storytelling, we aim to go beyond traditional marketing and instead bring people inside the story behind each business.
Right now, we’re focused on working with breweries and coffee shops, spaces that are naturally built around community, conversation, and creativity. These environments are where ideas are shared, relationships are built, and something bigger often begins.
As we’ve started building, we’ve also joined the ChicoSTART NextGen Initiative, becoming part of a cohort of student entrepreneurs focused on turning ideas into real ventures. Through this, we’ve had the opportunity to present at GrowTech Fest, a premier two-day annual innovation conference in Chico, California, hosted by ChicoSTART to celebrate, connect, and elevate the North State’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Being part of this community has helped us continue developing our vision while connecting with others on a similar path.
As we continue to grow, our vision is to expand beyond those spaces and capture a wider range of stories across different industries. No matter the setting, the focus stays the same, highlighting the journey of turning a small idea into something meaningful.
At the end of the day, the goal is simple. Create content that inspires people to take their own ideas seriously.
Because every big picture starts as something small.
